My Street- Rue Campagne Première, Île-de-France
What I already love about my street, and I’ve only lived here for 3.5 days-
It’s 2 city blocks max.
It’s a very important street in regard to 20th century art history- much more on this later.
It’s quiet--75% of the time
It’s close to the Jardin du Luxembourg 5 min and Cimetière du Montparnasse- 5 min
There is a Metro stop at one end- Raspail Metro 4
There is a hypnotist, many doctor’s offices, a Freudian Institute, a yoga studio, a Chinese massage place, an Italian deli, an Algerian restaurant, an excellent Sichuan restaurant, two bars, a tea shop, one small grocery store, one convenience store, one dry cleaner, one bookstore, one barber shop (that is always full), one laundry mat, one school, one hotel, one very traditional and very pricey French restaurant (called Le Duc), and a public park.
The Pope is expected to parade by on Saturday, September 26 around 4:30 pm (more later).
