I wanted to try something familiar today since I have been doing new things all week. So, I went to the Eugène Delacroix Museum, which I visited with Shelli in 2022. I remember liking it very much because it displays his art in his former apartment and atelier. There is also a lovely garden that feels like a peaceful island in the middle of Saint-Germain.
Delacroix lived from 1798-1863. He started having success in his career around 1822. He is considered a great French Romantic painter, and he had a huge influence on modern painters like Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and Paul Cézanne.
Everything was the same as our last visit, except it was raining.
I took a photo of myself in the garden and texted Shelli to see if she could recognize where I was…she had no trouble – “is that your boyfriend’s house?” When we were here in 2022 every cute guy I saw was my boyfriend- including Delacroix.
I picked up a book in the bookstore that profiled other small museums in Paris, and the one that stood out to me is Musée Curie. I will go there on Tuesday and report back.

Stephanie De Malherbe poster -a painter I met at a gallery in the 6th. I like her work very much- click the photo for a link to her online store.

A photo I took of a print that was for sale on the street. The artist is Tamara de Lempicka. Damon and I went to see her exhibit at the DeYoung earlier this year. She’s amazing! Click on the photo to learn more about her.
